As some of you might already know, I am a sucker for exposed brick walls! I LOVE the mood exposed bricks make in any room. There is something honest and mature about the look and there is something in the exposure of the bricks that show a sense of openess. It allows the bareness and warmth of the owner of the room to be felt. It allows a glimpse into the owners personality. I hope you understand what I am trying to express. Maybe take a look at the examples of these kitchens and one lounge area…and then let me know if you agree or not.

Love it! I’m battling to find reclaimed bricks like pic 8. You wouldn’t by any chance know where I can get, do you?

Hey Che, As far as I know, it’s hard work making it like that. Are you building the wall from scratch or are you re-doing an already built wall? By chiseling away paint and cement will make that effect on an already erected wall, apparently its very hard work but well worth the effort. Also, why dont you try old factories in Umbilo and surrounds? Atomic demolishes in North Coast rd? or any other demolish company? Do let us know how you managed to find them&what you are working on!
